A dynamic renewable energy owner operator in Edinburgh seeks an ESG Assistant to provide critical support to our ESG Manager in managing our Environmental, Social and Governance risk, opportunity, and impact. You will support strong ESG delivery in 2022 and build the next generation of ESG performance, policies, and systems, embedding them into the company.

You must demonstrate interest in delivering technical and non-technical objectives and working with our Brand & Communications team to ensure that the meaning, effectiveness, and importance of our ESG journey.

ESG Assistant Responsibilities:

*Supporting the implementation of our ESG strategy and initiatives
*Project managing the objectives forming part of our ESG strategy
*Supporting any external submissions required for our sustainability targets
*Managing all business reporting required for our ESG and sustainability efforts
*Project managing any cross functional sustainability project
*Assisting with the organisation and execution of our ESG Committee meetings.


Technical Skills

*Understanding of ESG, CSR, community engagement and social investment.
*Clear accountability (self, team, stakeholder) standards and skills for alignment of stakeholders (including Board) with our ESG journey.
*Multi-country application of ESG abilities.
*Holding third parties to levels of ESG delivery consistent with the policies and needs.
*Basic understanding of the current GRESB system and its link with our ESG strategy.

Management

*Able to work well with diverse and sizeable third parties who have a direct or indirect impact on the ability to deliver on its ESG requirements.
*An action-oriented self-starter and initiative-taker.
*Willingness and ability to work very closely with our ESG Committee and Brand & Communications Team.
*Strong and clear communicator.

Commercial

*Basic commercial and economic awareness.

Skills & Knowledge:

*Able to communicate objectives and information to non-specialists.
*Demonstrable interpersonal skills and effective communication.
*Good attention to detail.
*Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English (proficiency in Spanish French, Portuguese and / or German a plus).

Education & Qualification:

*Degree level qualification

Software Programmes:

*Computer literate with high competence in Excel and PowerPoint or equivalents and strong organizational and analytical skills.
