Market Access Director, DACH
The role will provide leadership for Market Access activities in DACH by identifying opportunities and risks and developing execution strategy and tactics to support cluster plan objectives.
The Market Access Director will play a key role in developing market insights and positioning the value of new and current products and services within the changing dynamics of the healthcare systems.
Essential Job Functions
Lead development and execution of DACH market access plans by obtaining cross-functional input and embedding plan into business and commercial planning process
Build and lead reimbursement and market access plans for the launch of new products or solutions.
Build or adapt and tailor global payer value propositions for the local markets and healthcare systems
Proactively monitor the reimbursement and policy landscape for opportunities and threats to coverage of the products and solutions
Leadership for Government Affairs plans in Germany to develop government affairs, policy, and advocacy strategies, activities and implementation plans to support franchise business objectives.
Leadership for market access with relevant associations e.g. BVMed
Define evidence requirements for successful market access in the cluster and liaise with Clinical and Evidence teams to ensure these are represented in the evidence plans
Provide leadership for in-market health economic studies, including adaptation of budget impact/cost models and real-world data analyses
Experience of working in a commercial health economics/market access role in the med-tech industry. Candidates with exceptional experience in a healthcare payer environment will also be considered
Experience of market access in acute, ambulatory and community segments preferable
Track record in developing market access strategies
Clear, confident communicator and be able to work across all levels of healthcare systems
Strong understanding of the changing healthcare landscape and its practical implementation at a local level
Strong understanding of the principal concerns/needs of current/emerging payers and their influence over local decision making
Strong experience of developing the messages and materials required to engage with decision makers to drive funding and access to products
