I've partnered up with a niche start-up Biotech who are already showing tremendous promise and are attracting significant industry attention through their expertise in targeted macrophage biology for cancer therapies. This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Bioinformatician to work collaboratively with the VP of drug discovery and leaders in industry.

The Role
- Design novel computational approaches using human multi-omics evidence to inform target selection and validation
- Develop the bioinformatics and statistical analysis pipelines to integrate different internal and external genomic, transcriptomic, proteomics, biochemical, imaging and other datasets
- Manage deployment of appropriate computational infrastructure to the cloud and/or onto in-house server systems
- Engage with biology and drug discovery teams and with external collaborators to support project planning and execution while providing expert advice and driving the innovative use of omics data and analysis

- PhD in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics/Data Science or similar subject
- Experience integrating high dimensional multi-omics datasets (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics)
- Experience analysing bulk RNAseq, single cell RNAseq and spatial transcriptomics
- Proficiency in statistical methods, prediction models and machine learning algorithm's used to solve complex biological problems
- Proficiency in Python and/or R
- Experience with cloud computing (e.g., AWS)

This position can be based in Cambridge or Edinburgh, or fully remote with some travel to the labs as required.
