The Senior Bioinformatics Developer will have a key role in building this company' bioinformatics platform. You will work within the technology team to help build out the data and computational infrastructure, and to lead the development of the end-to-end bioinformatics approach.
With company growth you will support the leadership team to build, further co-ordinate and establish the technology platform & team.

Role
Work with the team to establish the computational and data management infrastructure
Advise on and support bioinformatics research activities on analysis of high-dimensional omics datasets, antibody analysis, patient stratification, and machine learning
Build and iterate NGS data processing pipelines
Work collaboratively with the team including founders, bioinformatics research groups and external partners
Communicate efficiently, interpret, summarise and visualise data for presentation to different audiences
Keep current on new discoveries and changes in methodologies

Experience

A PhD (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or similar
Proficiency in Python, R, Bash, and SQL
Devops experience (Git, Docker, Jenkins, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, or equivalent)
Experience with building bioinformatics pipelines for NGS data
Experience in building cloud infrastructure for large scale data analysis and storage

Ideally;

Substantial industry experience
Experience with immune repertoire sequence analysis and antibody discovery
Experience with pipeline orchestration tools (Nextflow, Airflow, Snakemake or equivalent)
