Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is responsible for maintaining the ICT systems and supporting the users of these systems. The post holders' main responsibility is to provide first-line and second line support across the FfT centres.

1.To provide ICT support. To be the first point of contact for telephone, face to
face and email enquiries from system users. To use an ICT helpdesk/service desk
system to log and manage service requests and incidents. To troubleshoot problems
with Office 365 environment, workstations, software, network, phones, printers and
other ICT equipment. To install and change software/hardware on computers.
2.To be responsible for user account management, which includes creating, modifying
and removing user, accounts including the IP telephone accounts and Office 365 user
administration
3.Take delivery and roll out IT equipment. Maintaining asset register and software
register, including stock taking and inventory duties
4.To check and monitor backup logs on a daily basis. To manage rotation of portable
backup hard drives and monthly pickup and delivery of offsite backup media and to
regularly test backups including offsite data recovery testing
5.Deal with third party suppliers. Purchase IT equipment and deal with mobile phone
upgrades and negotiate contracts.
6.To provide develop training and supporting documentation on use of ICT systems for
both internal users and Support Officers.
7.Train new ICT Support Officers and be first point of contact in supporting them in
the resolution of problems, including liaising with external suppliers
8.Provide user training when required as part of new software/hardware roll out.
Training and educating end-users on O365 capabilities and collaboration tools
(Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint etc)
9.To participate in the effective planning, standard setting, monitoring and
evaluation of the work of the ICT Team. Assist with other ICT related projects
