If you are an Offshore Installation Manager within the renewable sector looking for a longer-term contract with extensions likely then read on. The project is in the North Sea, you would be dotted line working from the London office and from home. You will be making recommendations for cable terminations to meet the project needs. This is an initial one-year contract.

The Offshore Installation Manager responsibilities

* Supply, terminate and test cables and connection units
* Review test results ensuring a quality asset is provided
* FEED Considerations, Grid Layout input, Technical Requirements, Cable Design Criteria, Cable Accessories, Tender Negotiations and Clarifications (with contr. manager)
* Assumption Book input, LL reviews, Key Date / milestone selection, Delivery Criteria, Documentation Approval
* Head project meetings
* Manage resources assisting the project, e.g., cable manufacturing quality and manufacturing inspectors, conn. unit resp. and Termination Supervisors etc.
* Design considerations (incl. mech., thermal, burial, j-tube)
* Manufacturing Monitoring, Due Diligence and Quality Review
* Type, Routine, FAT and SAT test alignment and witnessing
* Timely follow up of suppliers' progress/results to MTS
* Identify, understand, and manage interfaces for the electrical works towards other projects as well as towards suppliers; and handle them in cooperation with the rest of the team
* Prepare and archive tech. documentation related to scope
* Contribute to planning of site supervision and commissioning organisation; and support commissioning/supervision staff
* In cooperation with contract manager, manage array cable contract, variation orders and claims. Maintain relations to contractors/suppliers
* Create and monitor execution of QAS and align input from SQM
* Review of ITPs, Method Statements and technical procedures from Supplier and ensure verification and validation of product quality controls (QC)
* Management of product NCR
* Review of product and as-built documentation during AP execution phase Assess Manufacturing capability, including identification of manufacturing process CTQ

You will need direct renewable experience which includes

* Knowledge of array cable installation
* Knowledge of cable load out
* Knowledge of cable laying
* Knowledge of cable pulling
* Knowledge of cable protection systems
