About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Sector for an experienced Uniface Developer. In this role, you will provide remote professional services to support, maintain, and modernize two critical enterprise applications-TMS (Transportation Management System) and WMS (Warehouse Management System)-developed using Rocket Uniface. These applications remain vital to business operations, even as they are expected to be replaced in the coming years.
You will collaborate closely with a Netherlands-based development team, ensuring the applications remain robust and secure during ongoing modernization and migration efforts.
About Rocket Uniface
Rocket Uniface is a low-code enterprise application development platform designed to accelerate the creation, integration, and deployment of mission-critical systems across multiple platforms and databases. Originally developed in the 1980s and acquired by Rocket Software in 2021, it is widely used for building scalable, cross-platform business applications.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Support
Provide day-to-day support for TMS and WMS applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs to ensure system stability.
Version Upgrade
Migrate both applications to the latest version of Uniface.
Refactor and test code to ensure compatibility and performance.
Database Migration (Oracle to PostgreSQL)
Adapt SQL queries and data access logic.
Manage data type mapping and migrate data securely.
Utilize Uniface's database-independent features to streamline the process.
Security Enhancements
Implement modern authentication and authorization practices.
Patch known vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with current security standards, including encryption and access control.
