Mission Context
Our client in the Banking Sector is seeking a dynamic Scrum Master to lead and support agile teams. As the key reference for agile methodology, the Scrum Master ensures effective application of Scrum principles, fosters team self-organization, and protects the team from internal and external disruptions. This role is vital in guiding the project team toward delivering high-value outcomes while supporting continuous improvement and a strong agile mindset across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Delivery & Follow-Up
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives
Schedule and track key agile milestones
Ensure smooth and disciplined use of Scrum methodology
Assist the Product Owner in managing and refining the Product Backlog
Support the team in delivering according to the Definition of Done (DoD), maintaining the Sprint Backlog
Monitor and report on team capacity, velocity, and delivery progress
2. Agile Coaching & Methodology Enablement
Actively coach and challenge the team to encourage self-organization and continuous improvement
Identify and remove impediments to team performance
Act as an ambassador for agile practices within the broader organization
Provide updates and reporting to management on agile maturity and methodology adherence
Manage risks and issues impacting team effectiveness
Profile Requirements
Languages
Dutch: Sound knowledge
French: Sound knowledge
English: Mandatory (plus at least one local language)
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
Work Arrangement
Hybrid model: 50% on-site and 50% remote
Agile Requirements
Cross-functional team collaboration (analysis, development, testing, etc.)
Team members are expected to contribute outside of their primary roles when needed to achieve sprint goals
Required Experience & Knowledge
Technical Experience (Mandatory)
Proficiency with agile reporting and tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
Knowledge of automated unit/functional testing and continuous integration tools
Solid understanding of software development and project management methodologies
Business Experience
Expert knowledge of agile techniques, including Scrum and Kanban
